I am so excited to welcome you to my... Stephanie’s Empty Nest! I will post so many videos about all sorts of things and sometimes the written word will be what is needed. I have been asked by several people to write about. Why would anyone know about what I have to say? Well its because I have come through the darkness of Anxiety, Depression, Fibromyalgia and have found joy. Finding Joy isn’t a destination but a daily choice and journey.

Someone who I greatly admire and am happy to call a friend, started a writing Facebook group where she gave us daily prompts. I will say I was excited to join this group and begin putting pen to paper but then the first prompt was posted. Believe it or not, stage freight. It wasn’t too difficult of a prompt but, wonder if what I had to say was stupid, wonder if I couldn’t find the right words and then I had the real thought of what I was afraid of, wonder if this exercise brings up emotions I may not be ready to deal with.

I made it through the the month of writing and I found that yes, it brought up memories and feelings I haven’t given thought to in decades and I was the better for it. Over the past month and even the previous ones before I had realized that everything you experience, the good the bad, the extraordinary, the unbearable, it all builds us into what we need to be sometimes its to strengthen ourselves and sometimes to give strength to others.

I have walked through my “dark times” of Anxiety, Depression, and Fibromyalgia and am finding the Joy. This Blog/Vlog/community is focused on finding the joy, taking the lessons we have learned and continued to learn to grow, redirect, change course, evolve and yes, I will say it again, Find Joy.

The fear of emotion will not stop me from exploring all that life can be and I encourage you to make the same pledge to yourself. Let‘s Play and Grow! Oh, and Find Joy!
